It’s my goal to help my clients understand food, not just give them a diet to follow. Restrictive diets lock people into eating specific foods and eliminating others, which is nutritionally imbalanced and boring. The best way to maintain a healthy diet and still enjoy a wide variety of food is to understand what you are eating and why. It’s not complicated. When you have the knowledge, then you have control over food instead of food controlling you.
As your personal nutrition coach, I’ll start by meeting you where you are now with food. I’ll ask you some specific questions and design a nutrition program tailored to fit, based on your goals, lifestyle, and preferences. We’ll use an app on your phone as a quick, accurate way to track what you eat daily and set nutritional goals based on calorie intake and macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and fats). We’ll also talk about other important areas of balanced nutrition, such as micronutrients, supplements, and hydration. It may sound overwhelming at first, but we’ll start simple and continue learning about and adjusting your nutrition as your body progresses through the training process.
As a certified nutrition coach, I am only able to guide your nutrition. For any prescribed nutritional plans, I’ll refer you to a clinical dietitian or your physician.
