I’m Lisa Hampton, an ISSA certified personal trainer and nutritionist with a specialization in bodybuilding. I’ve been lifting weights for 25 years. Through my personal experience and professional education, strength training is the quickest and most effective way to transform your body and life.
My fitness journey started in my early twenties during college while I was suffering from depression and anxiety. I had a lot of insecurities and was unsure of which direction I should take my life. To fulfill my physical education requirement, I signed up for Weight Training 101 and started learning about bodybuilding and regularly lifting weights. In a very short time, my body transformed. Along with my physical transformation came an emotional and mental transformation. When I was lifting, I felt grounded. All of my anxieties disappeared when I got out of my head and into my body. Outside the gym, I liked how I looked in the mirror, I could wear any clothing I desired, and people treated me differently. These gradual, positive changes helped me overcome depression and created a confident, healthy, strong, goal-driven person who was fully capable of meeting life's challenges.
This is why I believe in the power of fitness to change YOUR life on every level. If you are fed up with diets and fitness programs that promise you the world, then give you very little for your hard work, money, and time, then you are ready to work smart and become strong. It's best if you have an expert– someone who demonstrates the effectiveness of what she teaches in her own life. It is my pleasure and my goal, as your personal trainer, to share my knowledge, offer my support, and be present for you in your journey toward fitness and living your best life.
